Mobile Offers/ Payment Platform Architect – Retail Systems

Project Description:

Our client, a mobile and contactless payments company, is striving to revolutionize how consumers shop and pay with mobile devices.
As a “game-changer” and innovator in mass-market mobile commerce, they
are seeking an experienced, analytical, and enthusiastic systems architect to
define and deliver its offers and coupon platform.

Reporting to the Head of Product Development, the Offers Platform Architect will define the solution and systems architecture of the platform for mobile offers and
coupons. You will gather business requirements from stakeholders, define the
solution to meet these requirements, and translate into high-level system
requirements that the development teams will implement. You will lead the
implementation of this solution, guiding vendors and developers to rapidly
deliver product functionality.

Responsibilities

· Identify technical solutions to meet business requirements and define solution
architecture and high-level requirements

· Lead the development and implementation of the solutions for offer management,
coupon presentment, reconciliation and settlement

· Identify timelines and dependencies, and estimate level of effort to implement technical
solutions

· Engage closely with Product Management to understand business needs and user
experience, as well as to communicate the technical solutions and timelines for
implementation

· Manage relationships with vendors and partners to bring cutting edge technology into solutions

Minimum Required Skills (Platforms, Programming Languages, Tools, etc):

· Experience defining, documenting, and managing the implementation of systems for the
creation, management and settlement of promotional campaigns

· Understanding of coupon coding, redemption and settlement processes. Experience in retail
systems is a plus.

· Excellent documentation and communication skills, and ability work with team members,
partners and off-shore vendors

· Strong analytical and software architecture abilities, with knowledge of enterprise
development tools and techniques

· Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements to logical architecture and guide
implementation of robust solutions

· Ability to work in a start-up environment and a passion for developing great products is highly valued

Desired Qualifications:

· BS/BA or equivalent, MS/PHD a plus
